The course provides information about mooring and potential risks, the guidelines outlined in MEG4, and the proper procedures for managing the paperwork associated with mooring lines. Depending on the specific courses, variations in rope types will be addressed. Furthermore, the course covers fundamental knowledge about ropes, end terminations, and the inspection/maintenance of mooring lines. Participants also gain hands-on experience with practical splicing lessons and witness a full rope break test.
